Thompson as one of the 25 schools in Texas as a "BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL."  This national award honors public and private schools that have achieved academic excellence or made significant progress in closing the achievement gap.  The schools will be honored at the Blue Ribbon School Conference in Washington D.C., in
November.
